Take a meander along the Breede river in Viljoensdrift’s flat bottom riverboat. Fill a picnic basket with sumptuous fare from their deli, add a bottle of Viljoensdrift’s fine wines and enjoy your picnic during your trip down the river. Lovely picnic options from the deli. Klaasvoogds is a small ward of the Robertson Wine District, which is relatively unknown by name, but when discovered, visitors seldom want to leave. Just off the R60 between Robertson and Ashton, the Klaasvoogds Meander weaves through vineyards, guest houses, restaurants, wineries, and even a wellness centre and spa.

Owl's Rest is a quaint farm stall that offers lavender and olive-infused products such as soaps, essential oils, bath salts, and body creams. But more than just a farm stall, you can experience the distilling of lavender and see how owners Marta and Jack Hattingh process this amazing plant by hand.

Surrounded by the rolling Langeberg Mountains and bordered by vineyards and orchards, the 18-hole Robertson Golf Course is a golf course worth visiting. It is the only 18-hole golf course in the beautiful ‘Valley of Wine and Roses’ and is a kilometre outside the beautiful town of Robertson.

Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve is a rugged nature reserve located within 15km south of Robertson, offering stunning views and diverse flora. Explore the rocky landscape on hiking trails and discover patches of succulents, dwarf trees, and shrubs. The reserve is also home to four hiking trails: Rooikat, Heron, Boesmanskloof and Genandendal trails and cyclists can enjoy a scenic 8km mountain bike ride through the reserve.
The Robertson Art Gallery showcases original works from over 60 leading South African artists, including celebrated masters and renowned names - making it a must-visit for art lovers in the area.

Just outside Robertson, you’ll find Sheilam Cactus Garden & Nursery, an incredible nursery featuring around 2,000 different plant species.
